Il capitolo parte dal considerare la nuova centralità che le città hanno assunto nella fase attuale del capitalismo e le ragioni di tale centralità. Vengono poi ripercorsi e descritti alcuni modelli teorici di riferimento con cui la letteratura ha studiato il ruolo delle città nei processi di crescita e in particolare viene fatto riferimento al modello di città creativa, a quello di città globale e al modello di città europea. Il capitolo infine prende in considerazione esempi di ricerca applicata che utilizzano i modelli teorici presentati e discussi.

espanolEn este trabajo se revisa la participacion de mujeres pioneras europeas en el campo psicologico, con el objetivo de analizar su aportacion al desarrollo de la disciplina, a lo largo del siglo xx y principios del xxi. Para ello, de las fuentes de la bibliografia que ofrece Benjamin, en 1980, se han seleccionado siete mujeres nacidas en Europa, en el siglo xix. Y a partir de una metodologia bibliometrica se ha examinado la informacion del Social Sciences Citation Index, –ssci–, desde 1900 hasta 2016. Within the space of less than two years the European Court of Human Rights and the Italian Constitutional Court have returned almost opposing judgments on the question of the observance of political rights by Italy’s 2005 electoral law. The ECHR found the applications made to it by groups of electors inadmissible given the manifestly ill-founded character of the grievances they were based on.
